WBTV Celebrates Finalist Honor and Official Selections at National Film Festival
We are proud to share that one of our West Broward TV & Film Club teams was named a 2025 Film Invitational: Complete Experience Finalist at the prestigious All-American High School Film Festival, held in New York City from October 14–20, 2025. This extraordinary honor recognizes exceptional filmmaking skill, teamwork, and creativity on an international stage. Our second team also competed, gaining invaluable hands-on experience and insight into the world of professional film production.
In addition, WBTV was featured among the Official Selections at this renowned festival - the world’s largest dedicated to high-school filmmakers - which draws thousands of submissions from around the globe and showcases only the very best student work. Our selected films were screened at the iconic AMC Empire 25 Theaters in Times Square, alongside projects from the most talented young storytellers in the world. Throughout the week, our students connected with fellow filmmakers, explored future career paths, and celebrated their achievements at the Teen Indie Awards at the historic Kings Theatre in Brooklyn.
These accomplishments reflect the creativity, dedication, and passion of our incredible student filmmakers—congratulations to all for making West Broward shine in Times Square!
2025 Best Film Invitational: Complete Experience Finalist
Our WBTV Team A earned the distinguished honor of being named a 2025 Film Invitational: Complete Experience Finalist. This achievement places our students among an elite group of young filmmakers recognized for their originality, storytelling, and technical excellence. Over the course of the competition, the team collaborated to write, film, and edit a short film entirely on location in just a few days - an intense, real-world challenge that mirrors the fast-paced demands of the professional film industry. Their creativity and commitment exemplify the spirit of WBTV and showcase the incredible talent within our program.

2025 Official Selections
Official Selections are the standout films chosen to be showcased at the 2025 All-American High School Film Festival at the AMC Empire 25 Theaters in Times Square. Each year, thousands of student filmmakers from around the globe submit their work, and only the very best - selected by a panel of esteemed industry judges earn this distinction. All Official Selections are eligible for award nominations, with winners revealed at the Teen Indie Awards
